Making English Tea
Tea making is an art. The art varies from culture to culture. Tea in England and Ireland is made thus: 1) Buy the best quality tea bags 2) Rinse a teapot with boiling water 3) Pour the rinsing water away 4) Add one teabag for every two people 5) Pour boiling water into the teapot, about three quarters of a pint of water per person. 6) Leave the pot for five minutes, preferably under a tea cosy (a kind of woollen cover) 7) Organise your CHINA cups and saucers (china mugs if no cups and saucers are available) 8) Pour the tea, without splashing 9) Add milk and sugar to taste China cups are the best way to drink tea because your nose is in the cup and the bouquet of the tea adds to the flavour. Pottery mugs may be fine for coffee, but do nothing for tea
