Turnkey online businesses
There must be millions of people searching for that dream business, one where you buy a website, switch it on and the money rolls in, without them having to do anything. They are dreaming. There are businesses which are sold on this turnkey model, but even these will only work if you spend time and money promoting your business. Online pharmacies, gambling sites and porn sites are all sold as turnkey concepts. Clearly many people will have moral objections to even being associated with such sites. Once you show any interest in the Turnkey concept you will be inundated with website template sites, logo design opportunities and hosting promotion companies. To succeed in any of these areas you would need to spend an awful lot of money promoting your site because these niches are all extremely competitive. You may make money, but you will have to invest a lot of time and money to get there. Affiliate programs are another idea that is sold to people as a way of making money while doing nothing. It sounds great, "We give you 30% of every sale that comes from your page". Most people have no idea of the effort that is necessary to promote affiliate links and to even begin to make any money. Your affiliate web page may be free, but nobody is EVER going to land on it unless you spend time and money to promote it. Naive individuals are often cynically targeted by Internet Marketing sites with promises of easy money. Most of these sites have no product. They are just selling the concept of Internet Marketing to punters who believe the claims and hope to make thousands of dollars a day by just investing $99 in an ebook. I am very vague about the difference between Multi Level Marketing (MLM) and most Internet Marketing schemes. In MLM a salesman sells the idea of selling to other people. In Internet Marketing cynical, and often successful individuals sell the concept of Internet Marketing to others, albeit dressed up a small bit with an ebook or website giveaway Less than 1% of people who spend money on Internet Marketing ventures lose their money and never make a cent back. Many buy dozens of unrelated products in the hope of finding THE ONE. These people are doomed to failure because of their lack of focus and understanding. They fall victims to the overload of information that they sign up to receive or buy and become driven to distraction. You can increase your chance of success by: 1) Giving you credit cards to someone else while you are online, with the instruction NOT to let you have them back until next week.
2) Research, Read, Browse, Search, Find out, but all from free sites and by talking to real people.
3) Work out what your own talents are, and stick with them.
4) Build a business idea around something that you are already interested and knowledgeable about
5) Stick with your idea.
